The Masked Marvel's first PLE loss couldn't have come in more frustrating fashion. Coming into the event, the longtime BWE superstar was a perfect 3-0 when competing in the big matches.

 

Despite being partners a season ago, the Masked Marvel's face turn during the off-season left Masked Marvel and the Nightmare on opposing sides to start the year. It's a rivalry that started on the first show of the season and continued to build with each episode. But when the Nightmare pulled the plug on Masked Marvel's ally Bom de Neige, the rivalry was forced into another gear.

Despite a good effort, the Masked Marvel was unable to avenge his friend's death. It's a frustrating finish to a bad year for the Masked Marvel who lost all his matches this past season and one has to wonder if his days in the ring are numbered as he transitions into life as a father...
